On Friday, state media announced that China’s legislature (NPC) formally removed Xiao Yaqing as Minister for Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
He’s been officially replaced by Jin Zhuanglong.
This is hardly a surprise: Xiao Yaqing had been under investigation for corruption since July.
