Exports remained a key growth driver in August.
Per data released by the customs bureau (GAC) on Tuesday:
Exports grew 8.7% y/y in August, up from 7.0% the previous month
Imports grew a sluggish 0.5% y/y, down from July’s 7.2% growth
China’s trade surplus was USD 91 billion, up 35.4% y/y
