The Caixin manufacturing PMI jumped in July – up to 52.8 from 51.2 in June.

That’s the highest print for the index in almost a decade.

Our take: The manufacturing sector undoubtedly improved last month, compared to June, but this data point should be taken with a sizable grain of salt.
